Mary G. Bennett

Presenter on Positive Attitude

Mary G. Bennett has more than forty years of experience as a teacher, high school principal,
coach, advocate, professional development facilitator and activist. She is a product of the Newark Public Schools and served in the district for more than have of her career. After retiring and working on two major projects for the US Department of Education, she returned to Newark as the Executive Director of a non-profit educational support organization that supported 14 elementary schools and two high schools through programs for students and their parents while developing college awareness and higher educational aspirations for middle and high school students.

Whether working on a project in South Africa or supporting K-12 education in the United States, Mary Bennett has been committed to engaging all stakeholders in the education of their children and promoting the need for all children to have equity and quality in their schools. She currently works for two higher education institutions in New Jersey.
